Introducing the New PTA Team
Lucy Olesker (Chair)
"Hello, as recently elected PTA Chair and parent of class 3 I like to share our love and enthusiasm for Danehill Primary School maintaining good relationship with teaching staff & fellow families.
As we grow more each year into this sense of community it continues to be my joy to be as engaged as much as is possible in my role within the parent body.
A bit about my experience thus far :-
Year 1 we established our Enrichment programme encouraging local Artists, Craftsmen/women, Dancers, Musicians, Story tellers, local Authors & politician's to inspire our children with their diverse life stories & talents.
A number of parents also share their skills offering after school clubs and & integrating art programmes. This supports our ‘Enlivened learning’ ethos.
My key quality as Chair I would say is turning seemingly negative situations into vitally positives ones, such as sadly our ancient Oak tree needed to come down, so working closely with an arborist, created outdoor benches a craft table and crafted a giant Serpent style climbing zone stretching the circumference, opening up creative play in our lower forest area.
We now also have 2 Brand new classrooms one is a modern designed Rest & Reset room for all Danehill children we also managed to up-cycle the older studio into a fantastic new outdoor forest school classroom.
This initiative started by working closely with parent builders architects & designers and was taken up by the governors to fund raise and complete works this term.
There so much more I could share but am mostly excited in meeting new families and welcoming your hopes and visions forging our future together!
So much Is possible and rarely would you get the chance to be so involved in your child’s school setting.”

Marie Marin la Meslée – Hedgehog Class (Treasurer)
"Bonjour! I'm Crispin's mum in Reception. I worked for many years in sports marketing, mainly in rugby, before moving into the charity sector, where I now provide consultancy in events, communications and fundraising. It was love at first sight with Danehill School – the people, the ethos and the location. Crispin has been thriving this year, and I want to help promote how Danehill is a wonderful school and community for our children."
