School Trips and Visitors
School trips and visitors to school are a fantastic way to improve a child's learning experience beyond the classroom. These authentic experiences offer additional context to their learning - being able to interact and immerse themselves in the experience is a great way to further develop their knowledge in a fun and memorable way.
Here are some examples of recent activities and opportunities:
- Hedgehogs and Foxes trip to Ashdown Forest where they explored living things and their habitats.
- Kestrels experiments in the laboratories at Cumnor House School to find answers to hypothesis developed during their science lessons at school.
- Badgers and Kestrels D Day event.
- Badgers trip to Cuckmere Haven to observe the meandering river, asking geographical questions about what they notice, questions that will shape their class project.
- Foxes Great Fire of London workshops in school.
- Ensemble Reza concert in the school hall where the children enjoyed a fabulous live performance.
- A group of Y5 and Y6 children's day of dance workshops at Ardingly College that culminated in a fantastic performance on stage.
